Fans express joy as champions Rangers begin celebrations in Enugu
Scores of fans on X (formerly Twitter) have taken to social media to react as newly crowned Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Champions Rangers International defied a flight delay with the team later landing safely in Enugu to begin celebrations with their fans on home soil.
The NPFL Champions in a post shared on the microblogging platform on Tuesday disclosed that their flight to Enugu may have been delayed but nothing can delay the celebration with their teeming home fans.
“Our flight may have been delayed, but nothing can delay the celebration!
“The Champions of Nigeria are finally back on home soil after conquering the nation once again.
“Ala Igbo kwezuonu ooo!
“Never Say Die!” The team wrote in a message on its official X handle.
Rangers International also shared a picture of the team posing with the NPFL trophy aboard the flight to Enugu with the caption; “YOUR CHAMPIONS ARE HOME. WE WENT. WE SAW. WE CONQUERED.
“Thank you to everyone who stood with us. Through every battle. Thus triumph is for all of us.”
The feat by the team has sent social media abuzz with fans congratulating the Rangers for a job well done while others thumbed the team up for winning the title for the ninth time.
