We don’t have enough time to train, Chelle laments ahead Guinea-Bissau clash
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has expressed his disappointment at the lack of adequate training sessions ahead of the Nations Cup qualifiers clash against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.
Nigeria will be hoping to make it two wins from two when they take on Guinea-Bissau at the 24 September Stadium in Bissau.
Chelle lamented lack of enough time to train due to the congested FIFA window.
He said: “We didn’t have some training sessions to work a lot and this is the problem of this kind of FIFA window.
“You have only one or two training sessions to prepare, after that you have one or two training sessions to recover and you have to travel.”
The former Mali coach also assured the fans that the Super Eagles players will not underrate Guinea-Bissau.
Chelle said: “We respect them because they are a strong team; I have followed their progress over the years. They also won away in Tanzania on Friday and will be confident playing on home ground tomorrow.

“Our objective is to take the three points, and to do that, we must approach the game with a strong mentality. We have to be at our best to earn a victory.
”We have to stay focused on our group and our state of mind which is the most important thing.”
Chelle also expressed concerns about the playing surface at the 24 September Stadium.
He concluded: “I don’t want to say the pitch is good or the pitch is bad. We work on the pitch. As I said, we just need to stay focused on our game project.
“We try to play football. We will see during the training session if we can play football. I will think about the conditions.”
The Super Eagles won their first match 2-1 against Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The match is slated for 5pm Nigerian time on Tuesday.
