McGregor reveals talks ongoing for Mayweather rematch
Irish combat sportsman Conor McGregor has revealed that talks are ongoing in the background regarding a high-profile rematch with flambouyant American boxer Floyd Mayweather.
Recall that in August 2017, the pair previously met in a blockbuster crossover boxing match, famously dubbed “The Money Fight,” which ended in a 10th-round TKO victory for Mayweather.
McGregor whose main focus is on his UFC comeback, admitted that talks with Mayweather’s camp have remained active as he hopes to fight him again.
Addressing the media prior to his UFC comeback, McGregor stated, “There’s conversations ongoing always with the boy. That’s the truth. So, I’m open for it.”

“Yeah, for sure [I’m interested in a rematch].
“There’s conversations ongoing always. That’s the truth. So, I’m open for it.
“I’ll do this again with little Floyd.” McGregor said.
The initial 2017 bout generated over $400 million in revenue and massive pay-per-view numbers. Any sequel promises to be one of the highest-grossing events in combat sports history.
