The FIFA 2026 World Cup is set to kick off on 11 June until the night of 19 July, 2026, with the whole world watching the biggest football tournament, which is taking place in North America.

There will be 104 matches in total with 48 teams fighting to win the biggest football prize. There are 10 African nations represented in this year’s showpiece without Nigeria sadly, but we will be bring timely and accurate updates here.

It’s the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup and is being co-hosted by the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. There are 16 stadiums hosting matches during the tournament – 11 in the US, two in Canada and three in Mexico.
