Kane sets new Bundesliga record in Bayern’s 7-0 win over Union Berlin

Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 100 Bundesliga goals with a brace in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 win over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Friday.

The English forward scored a brace to record his 101st Bundesliga goal in 98 games – fewer than any other player in the league’s history.

It was also his 152nd goal in 154 appearances in all competitions for Bayern Munich to further underline his importance to the team.

Jamal Musiala broke the deadlock with a stunning effort from 20 yards in the 18th minute.

Kane made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Michael Olise was fouled by Tom Rothe.

Olise turned provider for Kane to head in the third goal in the 54th minute.

The French winger scored a hat-trick before substitute Ismail Saibari added the seventh goal to lead Bayern Munich to a comfortable win going into the international break.

Kane has scored six goals in seven matches for Bayern Munich this season after scoring 61 goals in 51 matches last season.

On average, Kane has found the net once every 78.3 minutes in the Bundesliga since his arrival in 2023 – a rate better than the likes of Erling Haaland (87 minutes), Robert Lewandowski (100) and Gerd Müller (105).
