Hansi Flick
Hansi Flick became the first Barcelona manager to win the club’s opening seven competitive matches of a season following a 7-2 win over Racing Santander at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
The German manager has guided the team to a flawless start to the 2026-27 season.
Brazilian forward Raphinha continued his stunning start to the season with a hat-trick, taking his tally to 11 goals in all competitions, nine in La Liga.
Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal also scored to hand the Blaugrana the maximum points to go three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid after six matches.
Flick was delighted with the team’s start to the season while also praising his players for another goal-scoring performance.
He said: “I liked the way we played and the three points. I’m happy, we’re happy. It’s not easy to play against Racing.
“It’s always good to start well, but what matters is how you finish. It gives us confidence, and I like the momentum and the intensity. Everyone presses, everyone is involved. How we work as a team is crucial.
“This is our mentality. This is the way we want to play. I told the players that when we lose the ball, we must run with full intensity to win it back and press, not with one or two players, but with everyone. That is exactly what happened, and it was great to see.”
He added: “I am happy. I love this style of play, I love scoring goals, and I love this result.”
