Arsenal to begin Premier League title defence against Coventry
Premier League champions Arsenal will take on Coventry City at the CBS Arena in the openeinv game of the 2026-27 Premier League on August 21.
The Gunners, who ended their 22-year title drought last season, will battle it out with the Champions of the second division, as they aim to defend their title.
The Frank Lampard-led side will play their first match in the division in 25 years.
Second-placed Manchester City will start the season at home against Bournemouth on August 23, in the absence of Pep Guardiola, who departed the club last season.
Aston Villa will be in action against Brighton on Sunday while Liverpool will travel to play against Newcastle United.

Manchester United will face Hull City at the MKM Stadium in Saturday’s early kickoff.
The new season will start on Friday, 21 August and end Sunday, 30 May 2027.
