UCL: Real Madrid crash out after Q’final thriller vs Bayern

Bayern

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid put up a thriller at the Allianz stadium as the Germans sealed a 6-4 aggregate victory to advance to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Trailing 2-1 from the first leg at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid had a fighting chance, and did give it their all in the second leg.

But it was Bayern who won the day as they secured a 4-3 home victory in a thrilling encounter to advance to the last four.

Harry Kane and Michael Olise were among the goalscorers for Bayern while Kylian Mbappe and Ardar Güler were on the scoresheet for Real, who ended the game with nine men following two red cards.

The German champions have now set up a Champions League semi-final date with defending champions Paris St-Germain.

The winners of the tie will take on either Arsenal or Sporting in the final of the Champions League.
