Slot says Sesko’s ‘handball’ goal should’ve been disallowed
Liverpool coach Arne Slot is of the opinion that the ‘handball’ goal scored by Manchester United striker, Benjamin Sesko should not have been allowed to stand by the centre referee.
The ball appeared to have brushed off Sesko’s hand before crossing the line in the 14th minute and Slot argued that the curve on the ball changed, so there must have been contact from the Manchester United player.
VAR checked the goal for an alleged handball and it stood but twenty-two minutes after it was given, cameras showed angles of the ball brushing Sesko’s fingers before heading into the back of the net.
Slot who was speaking during a post match press conference after his team lost 3-0 to Man U said that it is no surprise to anyone that if there is a VAR intervention then the decision goes against Liverpool.
He said: “I think it’s a touch on his hand. The curve on the ball changed so there must have been a contact.

“But it’s NO surprise to anyone that if there is a VAR intervention then the decision goes against us. It’s happened to us ALL season.”
Slot also talked about how his team can improve: “I know what we can improve on and we are already working hard on this.
“Tactically you can change certain things but for me it is clear where we have to improve and we WILL do it!.”
With the win, Manchester United sealed their place in the next season’s Champions League.
