Fury eyes one more fight before long-awaited bout with Joshua
The current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury is eyeing one more major fight before his much anticipated boxing bout with his compatriot, Anthony Joshua.
This was made known by boxing promoter, Frank Warren who disclosed in an interview that Fury does not want to be idle before his next bout with Joshua who is set to return to the ring, July 25, against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“I think he [Fury] will probably want to be doing something in between, let’s see,” Warren told reporters.

“AJ has got his fight. Tyson I’m quite sure will have a fight in between; that’s what he’s asking for, and we’ll see where we go from there.”
Joshua’s fight with Prenga will be the first of a two-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.
The second is expected to be against Tyson Fury later in 2026. Ring Magazine, which is owned by Alalshikh, has reported that Joshua vs. Fury is signed for later this year.
