He said; “We are so happy. He’s a player we’ve been tracking for long time”.
“Adeyemi is very fast, very good player. Deco did an excellent job”.

“He’s a Barça player and he’s doing very well at World Cup too,” he added.
Laporta stated further that the move to sign Argentina striker Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid is still on the cards with talks between both clubs ongoing but the offer for the player has an expiry date.
“The last time I spoke with Miguel Ángel Gil, we spoke with complete clarity on the Julian Alvarez deal and very well as usual, and I see that we have a very good relationship with them.
“There was some confusion at the beginning regarding the offer we made, and I clarified that for him.
“We didn’t press further; I just told him that from the moment they have an alternative available, this offer will be valid, and that’s where it stopped. It hasn’t developed further than that at the moment.
“We keep our first offer on the table.
“But the validity of it is not unlimited,” Laporta noted.
