Lukaku assessing possible Premier League return
Bulky Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly considering a return to the English Premier League (EPL) after falling out with his current clubside, Napoli FC.
The striker has recently faced as strained relationship with Napoli after ignoring club orders to return to training, choosing instead to stay back in Belgium for rehabilitation of a hamstring injury.
Napoli deemed Lukaku’s action as unauthorised absence, intending to hit him with fines, but recent reports suggests that the issue is considered closed for now after clear-the-air talks with Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna.
Despite the temporary resolution, the incident has highlighted tensions between the player and the club, with a post shared on X by transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano suggesting that the player is eyeing an immediate return to the Premier League.

“Romelu Lukaku is assessing a possible Premier League comeback for this summer.
“His entourage has started contacting multiple Premier League clubs to test the waters.” Romano wrote on his official X page.
The 32-year-old player has had a difficult season playing for Napoli with injuries limiting his iimpact on the field of play after arriving as key signing for the Serie A football club.
